I ran out and my pharmacy was closed. My father takes 40 mgs daily and I take 20. He offered to give me one of his pills to tide me over for a couple of days.
Simvastatin - can a 40mg pill be safely cut in half to make two 20mg doses?

You might want to do a search here for statins-how long does it take to get out of my system-my legs hurt. Some people take it okay-some are permanently crippled and and Zocor/simvastatin is the most dangerous-it also causes dementia and type 2 diabetes in underweight people. Take a look at SpaceDoc.com and read up. If your legs start feeling heavy-talk to your doctor- I've received mail from people that took it for 9 years then it hit them--If I had told my dentist this, he would have told me this. I saw him a week before I began taking it.
